The journal Educação em Análise is an electronic, continuous flow, and Open Access periodical. It is a joint initiative of the Department of Education and the Postgraduate Program in Education at the State University of Londrina. It publishes, after a peer-review process, original scientific articles, essays, and reviews on educational themes, in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.

Thematic Dossier: The Convergence between Digital Educational Resources and Emerging Technologies: Paradigms of Innovation, Curation, and Pedagogical Sustainability

We inform that the article submission period will take place from September 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026, through the submission system of the Educação em Análise Journal.

In recent decades, digital technologies have come to occupy a central place in educational debates, fostering new ways of teaching, learning, and producing knowledge. However, it has become increasingly evident that the mere introduction of digital tools into educational settings does not, by itself, guarantee significant advances in learning processes. The key difference lies in how these resources are integrated with consistent pedagogical practices, the critical curation of content, and ethical reflections on their uses and implications.

In this context, this dossier seeks to promote a qualified and critical debate on the convergence between Digital Educational Resources (DERs) and emerging technologies, understanding these processes beyond merely technicist or overly enthusiastic perspectives. The aim is to bring together research and experiences that rigorously analyze, from both theoretical and methodological standpoints, the challenges, potentialities, and tensions involved in integrating digital technologies into contemporary education.

The works that compose the dossier address diverse and current topics, including the use of extended reality in higher education, generative artificial intelligence in instructional planning and teaching practice, assessment strategies in digital environments, curation practices for Open Educational Resources (OER), active learning methodologies, teacher education, and the ethical exercise of digital competence in different educational contexts.

By bringing together national and international researchers, the dossier aims to contribute to strengthening academic discussions on pedagogical innovation, educational sustainability, and digital transformation, fostering critical reflections on the directions of education in the face of the rapid technological changes of contemporary society.
