Ethical Principles
Revista Educação em Análise is a journal committed to the ethical principles of research and the publication of its results. It subscribes to the principles and practices outlined by the Core Practices (2017) of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), through the adoption of various instruments for the regulation and control of good editorial practices.
In this regard, it requires its authors to include documents specifying the exact contribution of each party, the availability of data and information used, among other commitments to ethical and high-quality scientific production.
When submitting articles, authors ensure that their research has followed the ethical principles established for their area of knowledge, complying with all the requirements of the specific current legislation of the country where the research was conducted. The submission of the Supplementary Co-authorship Document is mandatory for articles with more than one author.
A copy of the approval document from a research ethics committee (CEP) must be attached, whenever relevant, as a supplementary document in the submission process.
In respect for the guiding norms of ethical conduct in scientific publication, Revista Educação em Análise subscribes to and adopts specific rules and procedures that must be followed by all those involved in the process of submission, evaluation, editing, and publication of articles in the journal:
1. Duties of the Editor-in-Chief and Section Editors:
Ensure the strict observance of the rules outlined in the Evaluation Policies and other editorial policies subscribed to by this journal.
Ensure the fairness of the evaluation procedures, and impartially and transparently manage and mediate any conflicts between the parties involved.
Adequately fulfill their tasks and responsibilities as outlined in the Internal Regulations of Revista Educação em Análise.
2. Duties of Reviewers:
Observe all the rules, regulations, and procedures outlined in the editorial policy of Revista Educação em Análise and in the specific recommendations for reviewers.
Meet the deadlines and conditions proposed by the journal.
Ensure the confidentiality of the analyzed documents, and the quality and integrity of the research approved for publication.
3. Duties of Authors:
Observe all the rules, regulations, and procedures outlined in the editorial policy of Revista Educação em Análise.
Comply with the ethical and documentary requirements established by the journal (supplementary documents, proper completion of data and metadata, etc.).
Ensure the originality and novelty of the submitted manuscript.
