Abstract

This study analyzes the possibilities and risks of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) by beginning teachers in Brazilian basic education. The objective is to understand how these tools impact teaching practice in the early years of a career, balancing technological innovation and ethical dimensions. The methodology consisted of an exploratory qualitative research based on a bibliographic and documentary review of scientific productions published between 2024 and 2025. Results demonstrate that, although AI assists in pedagogical planning, formative assessment, and personalized teaching, its implementation faces challenges such as the need for critical digital literacy and ethical teacher training. It is concluded that the use of AI must be grounded in public policies that ensure equity and in the principles of humanizing education, as advocated by the LDB and the BNCC, ensuring teacher autonomy and student protagonism.
