Abstract

This is the result of a research that proposed to problematize the way that LGBT students, enrolled in high school in a public school of the State Education Network of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, in the city of Campo Grande, act before the subjection devices to which they are subjected, by cultural conditions, in their sexualities. The objective of the study was to understand how the subjects involved (young adolescents) deal with prejudice and exercise practices of self that impact the discourse that the school is heteronormative. The theoretical ballast is based on some Foucauldian postulates, supported by an empirical and analytical base, whose procedures privilege ethnographic aspects, such as school daily life and education, conceived by the processes of social practices. The problem posed is that the school is exclusively heteronormative, in the different facets of the institution, is shaken in face of the various dynamics, practices, and discourses that occur in the intense game of the body that marks the corridors of this institution. This paper shakes the restricted and naturalized vision of a concept about school that bodies are exclusively results of heteronormativity, but points out that the trans body also tensions power and prejudice.
