The Blind False of Isle of Sailors: romance of oral tradition

The present work has a descriptive bias and intends to present an analysis of the oral tradition novel O Cego, found in 2011 in the folklore of Ilha dos Marinheiros, located in the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul. This novel is considered one of the songs best known in Brazil, mainly on the north coast of the country and among the most children. In the Iberian Peninsula, the novel O Cego is compared to the love life of the King James V of Scotland, died at the age of thirty, in 1542; say he used to disguise himself as poor and blind to improve their conquering skills and after composing ballads about these adventures.
