Abstract

This paper aims at analyzing the enunciating forms in the documentary Bicicletas de Nhanderu (2011), a collective production by the cinema Mbyá-Guarani group. Initially, we discuss the verbal enunciations within the community’s mythical discourse, found on those narratives of traditional trend, as well as its relationship with audiovisual protocols developed by the visual media. The tassels between these two dimensions highlights a rather complex relationship between verbal enunciations, engendered in the narrative discourses, and documental enunciations, resulting from the appropriation of the audiovisual means of production by the indigenous community. Finally, we examine the outcomes and problem in the representation of subjects, operated by both verbal and audiovisual language in the contemporary indigenous narratives.
