Etnotext as media

Abstract

The question of the use of media in the field of research is old and controversial among the scholars of oral poetry. In addition to this question, the purpose of this article is to include one more point in this discussion is to understand the voice in his unregistered issue and Etnotext (Pelen, 2001) kind of a media and submit it to the study of literature materialities. As a starting point of the analysis I use the narrative Estranho observador... whose transcript was originally published in Abaetetuba conta... collection (SIMÕES and GOLDER, 1995) and was made available for me in the Portal de Poéticas Orais, linked to the project Cartografias da Voz, both coordinated by professor Frederico Augusto Garcia Fernandes. For this use as theoretical framework authors such as Marshall McLuhan (1969), Bolt er and Grusin (2000), Paul Zumthor (2010, 2005), whose discussion on the media seems to be relevant in this small study.
