The article proposes a reflection on the existing mediations in the relations between State and dominant classes, from a review of two theoretical paradigms that define the forms of relationship between State and dominant classes: the systemic paradigm, the one that gives political institutions a dimension neutrality vis-à-vis society's class interests, and the conflict paradigm, whose analyzes define the State as a space for class interests disputes. The purpose of this reflection is to find elements that allow to provide subsidies for the understanding of the question about how the crisis of State, experienced in Brazil in the last decades, affects a crisis of class domination.Downloads
