The present article is an effort to demonstrate that a consistent discourse about democracy and human rights has to consider the existence of public spaces that ensure the plurality of positions and actors. But a public space does not mean solely the space for conflict, which shelters all those who are involved and guarantees their right to speak; neither does it mean a community harmoniously founded in tradition or religion, but rather a space based on which it is possible to we1come and legitimate different positions in an ethic way, evidently without constraints.Downloads
