This article analyses the Student Movement from 1964 to 1968, a period in which students became a bastion of resistance to the military dictatorship. It also examines the impact and consequences that such demonstrations, occurring inside and outside the universities, provoked, specifically in the area of the social sciences. It is an analysis in which the author offers his own testimony, since at the time he had two activist roles, as a student and president of a student group, and as a professor of sociology at the beginning of his career.Downloads
