Being an immigrant and an entrepreneur: logic and meanings. aspects of Brazilian immigration in Italy.

The article analyzes some items from the brazilian region for the north and northeast regions of Italy; It focuses on the immigrant entrepreneurship, that is, a strategy to set up small businesses, in general, service providers in agricultural activities, civil construction and cleaning services of buildings and condominiums; It reveals that brazilian immigrants dynamize with the intensity of their reality, optimize their double-citizen status, many of them associate with Italians and stabilish companies. Entrepreneurship reveals an advanced stage of social and productive integration of the immigrant community; It is a strategy to change the performance of the immigrant population, promoting, in most cases, family reunification and absorbing market niches. However, it is not a reality that comes to accomplish with facilities; There are financial, bureaucratic and demands that deliberately make this immigrant identity change very difficult.Downloads
