Abstract

This article consists of the presentation of the problem arising from situations experienced in the international cooperation program CAPES / PQLP, in 2014, in Timor-Leste. The problem in question comes from observing the conflict between methodologies used in teaching literature in the country. We seek to affirm the necessary relationship between methodological paths and background contextual questions (what, for whom, why and when) when choosing an approach to teaching literature. Still, the teaching of literature is problematized by valuing the indisputable link between orality and writing, based on a theoretical framework consistent with the conception and direction of analysis: the approach of voice and performance in Paul Zumthor and the technical conception of Gilbert Simondon. Thus, it seeks to bring contributions to the understanding of specificities related to the teaching of literature and literary writing in Timor-Leste.
