Abstract

The article discusses the concept of social classes according to four Marxist authors - Nicos Poulantzas, E. P. Thompson, Adam Przeworski and Erik Olin Wright. In particular, the controversies regarding the structural determination of classes and the location of the intermediate sectors of society are addressed.
