Abstract

The article aims to develop a multidimensional socioeconomic stratification model, considering individual (occupation, occupation position, sex and age) and household (access to basic sanitation, internet and possession of durable goods) variables. The method used was Latent Class Analysis (LCA) and the data are from PNAD 2015. The results show the existence of five Socioeconomic Strata, characterized by heterogeneity between them. It was also observed inequalities and a strong association between the variables Socioeconomic Stratum, Occupational Class, Occupation Position and Household Affluence.
