Abstract

This paper presents an account on some lessons of the discipline (ART1011) Art in Childhood and Adolescence, which belongs to the curricular matrix of the teaching degree in Visual Arts at Federal University of Santa Maria. These lessons were planned in the Supervised Teaching Practice, a discipline of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE/UFSM) held during the second semester of 2014. Here we seek to draw connections with the children's imaginary through Antoine Saint-Exupéry’s book The Little Prince. By means of this children’s literature work, we have built relations with child development, about choices on the different worlds and characters presented in the book and how they reverberate in the child's imaginary. Those narratives took us back to issues of memory and remembrance and how adulthood can, at times, move away of or closer to the developments of creative capacity.
