Abstract

In this text, we present some theoretical and conceptual considerations that cover zones of contact between the social studies of science and technology and studies on the ecological emergency. These considerations discuss the notion of Technocene based on the analytics of coloniality and its onto-epistemological expressions, allowing us to see relationships between extractive technologies, the cybernetic turn and new forms of control constituted by a certain informational metaphysics. We suggest some paths of reflection that intertwine the drive to expand the codification of the world, the expansion of a regime of equivalences through “algorithmic governmentality” with the political and epistemic grammar of colonial geology.
