This essay analyzes the crisis of the dominant imaginaries in the current context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Initially, the essay presents competition as a fundamental principle of neoliberal imaginary and contemporary processes of subjectivation to discuss the crisis of this imaginary caused worldwide by the new coronavirus. Then, the text problematizes the return to the imaginary of sovereignty, nationalist and authoritarian, as a reaction to the crisis. In conclusion, the essay defends the urgency of common and vital solidarity among individuals at the institutional, national and international levels as a way to overcome the global crisis.Downloads
