Cannabis has become recently the focus of several techno-scientific researches, raising debates and practices within diverse fields such as health, law, public policies and class relations. This process took place concomitantly with the emergence of new ways of producing knowledge about the plant, with special emphasis on the medicinal and therapeutic scopes. With this in mind, the purpose of this dossier is to bring together researches and reflections from different international, national and local contexts that, being inspired by the transdisciplinary field of social studies of science and technology, focus on the production of knowledge in the diverse social spheres in which cannabis has been an object of central interest. The organizers of the dossier hope, in this way, to contribute to understanding the emergence process of a nouvel scientific field of cannabis knowledges that has nonetheless deep connections with anti-prohibitionist movements and recent regulatory transformations.

Call for papers will be open until July 15, 2023; unpublished texts will be accepted in Portuguese, Spanish and English. Contributions should be submitted through the journal's online system:
