Abstract

This dossier, developed as part of the activities of Acervo Digital Cedec-Ceipoc, investigates the impacts of digital technologies on constitutional democracy. Drawing on a critical and situated approach, the dossier analyzes how the ubiquitous presence of digital technologies reconfigures social norms, political practices, and forms of subjectivation. It highlights the erosion of the model of social rights in the face of neoliberal rationality and the growing centrality of algorithms in mediating social life. The dossier brings together articles that explore these issues from different perspectives—ontological-theoretical, structural-capitalist, normative-communicational, decolonial, and Latin American feminist—revealing the complexity of the contemporary landscape and its effects on sovereignty, representation, and rights. The aim is to offer analytical tools for critically rethinking democracy amid the technological and political inflections of the present.
