Theoretical interpretations of partnership and settlement regimes in recruiting the agricultural labor force affirm them as relations of production not typically capitalist. This article presents a challenge to such interpretations, showing its role in the accumulation process carried out in the capitalist agriculture of Brazil.Downloads
