Herewith is discussed Marc Bloch's work as well as his political engagement by presenting his intellectual formation and his contribution to 20 th Century historiography. We enhance the genesis of Bloch's historical work by his approach to Emile Durkheim's and Henri Berr's thought. It is also analysed Bloch's resistance against Nazism and his brutal assassination.Downloads
