Polyphonic criticism: reflections on extractivism and dialogue of knowledge in contemporary Brazilian literary criticism

Abstract

This article analyzes a series of critical studies that focus on historically marginalized contemporary literary productions from a non-extractivist perspective, that is, starting from a positioning regarding the focus of study as a “subject” and not as an “object”, and subject bearer and producer of knowledge, with attention to not extracting knowledge by separating it and detaching it from the environment that enhances it, but rather establishing a dialogue of knowledge. The corpus that makes up this work not only consists of written texts, but also includes visual and editorial productions.
