Abstract

Folk tale are a relevant object of study because all other short stories are derived from them. Our aim throughout our study was to show the influence of folks tales on the narratives of shorts stories. In our understanding, a short story is one writhen by an only author and one that presentes evident characteristics of its creator. The relations hep between shorts stories and folks tales was carried out by taking into consideration three criteria: the narrator, orality marks and narrative structure. Our intention, there fore, was to show how the short story makes use of the folk tale, be it througt the narrator, througt orality marks or througt the narrative structure.
