Abstract
Bemisia tabaci rearing method system on soybean rooted leaf was tested. Rooting occured in 100% of the tested leaves, and the average time to first root emergence was 12.4 days at 25.7±0.7°C (mean ± standard deviation). The rooted leaves were placed in a B. tabaci mass rearing cage, for 48 hours oviposition period. To the insects development, the egg-infested leaves were individually transfered to small cages (10 X 6.5 cm, lenght X diameter), in a temperature controled room (25.8±0.7°C and 14-hour photophase). Average period to egg-adult development was 27.2 days.
