Abstract

This research investigated, through a multivariate analysis, the existence of natural groupings in modern board games, from the players’ perception of the cognitive processes involved while playing these games. The objective was to assist in the development of a classification for the study of such games. As a result, we suggest the possibility of dividing the selected games into four distinct groups.
