Repository Policy and Open Data
Mediações requests that, when an article relies on a large dataset that cannot be fully accommodated within the text, the authors ensure access to the complete metadata, describe the variables, collection methodology, and other relevant information for the interpretation and reuse of the data. This should be done by including hyperlinks in the text that direct readers to these details, as indicated by SciELO. The link to the research data must be inserted at the end of the article so that it is available to the public. When this is not possible, it will be necessary to discuss suitable solutions in advance with the section editors responsible for the evaluation, so that the open data policies supported by SciELO can be complied with.
Mediações also supports the broad dissemination and unrestricted access to scientific research. In line with the best practices in scientific publishing, our repository policy allows and encourages the deposit of all manuscript versions (preprint, postprint, and published) in trusted open-access repositories without restrictions or embargo.
Mediações is committed to ensuring and strengthening open access, digital preservation, and the visibility of its academic content, ensuring that the published scientific knowledge is widely available to the academic community and the public. The journal maintains its own digital repository, hosted on the UEL Journals Portal, where all published articles are stored and made available. This repository guarantees free, permanent open access to the entire scientific collection of Mediações, promoting the long-term preservation of published content.
Mediações collaborates with external repositories and databases to expand the dissemination of its content, enabling integration with institutional, national, and international repositories. To facilitate collecting and indexing by other academic research platforms, Mediações repository is compatible with the OAI-PMH protocol. Mediações recommends authors to deposit their materials in SciELO repository or other repositories recommended by SciELO.
