Preprints Policy
In accordance with the guidelines of open science, Mediações accepts and encourages, without embargo, the submission of articles that have been previously submitted, accepted, or published in an institutional repository or another reliable preprint repository chosen by the authors (such as SciELO Preprints, EmeRI, Advance - SAGE Pub e OSFPreprints - Center of Open Science, etc).
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the content deposited on preprint servers complies with the journal's editorial policies and ethical guidelines, particularly regarding originality, novelty, and academic integrity. Under no circumstances may the submitted content have been submitted to and/or accepted for publication in another scientific journal.
During the submission process, authors must explicitly declare that the manuscript has been previously made available as a preprint, specifying the server used and the corresponding DOI number, if applicable. Failure to provide this information may result in the manuscript being rejected during the initial screening. If the article is accepted and published in Mediações, the authors must update the preprint record in the server, providing the complete reference for the final publication, including the DOI of the version published in Mediações.
