Abstract

Scientific dissemination Journals usually reveal virtues such as corporate organization, work capacity and, above all, the willingness to dialogue with the groups that produce them. It has been no different with our magazine. For almost a decade this journal has honored an unavoidable commitment to be a mediating vehicle for debates between the Social Sciences. In the midst of the numerous difficulties that have plagued Brazilian public universities for so many years - and the lack of resources for the production of journals is only a negative aspect in a landscape that is naturally arid and hostile to intelligent life - Mediações has accomplished the feat of survival.
