Abstract

This issue of Revista Mediações intends to discuss ways of interpreting society from different literary elements. Literature appears in the various articles as a means of analyzing and problematizing issues relevant to the understanding of contemporary society. Themes such as blackness, childhood, power and culture permeate the different articles that make up the dossier Society and Literature. Complementing the reflection proposed in the Dossier, the other articles bring current concepts and issues that seek to reflect the possible interactions to understand the challenges proposed today for the social sciences.

Renata Gonçalves, Universidade Estadual de Londrina

Doutorado em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2005), com estágio de doutorado, modalidade "Sanduíche", na École de Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris (de novembro de 2003 a final de abril de 2004); mestrado em Ciências Sociais pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1999) e graduação em Serviço Social pelo Institut Cardijn (1992) – Bélgica.
