Português como língua de acolhimento e produção acadêmica: um panorama

Abstract

T

he present work aims to present an overview of theses and dissertations defended between the years 2002 – 2022 whose keyword in the Capes Catalog of Theses and Dissertations is linked to the word “Portuguese as a host language”, hereinafter PHL. This article is the result of an exploratory survey of research and extension projects linked to this theme, with the aim of understanding the state of the art in recent years and its growing academic production and interest. Through this search, we were able to observe a concentration of research carried out in the Southeast region, especially in the State of Minas Gerais, wich presents this State as a major hub of academic production in the PHL area. Another highlight of the research is the temporal aspect, in which we observed a growing demand for works that use the concept of PHL in their theoretical constructs, as well as a late implementation of this term in Brazil. Finally, the analysis of the keywords of the selected works reveals a low level of concern in the development of public policies and teacher training for the area.

Doutora em Letras e docente da área de Letras e Linguística e nos PPG-IELA, PPGRI e PPGEdu na UNILA. Tem interesses nas áreas de letramento crítico e ensino de línguas; currículo e transculturalidade; educação fronteiriça e migração; práxis pós-estruturalista, pós-colonial e decolonial, vinculado a noções de discurso e representação.
