Localization is a process of cultural transference to a local version. Considering this definition, this paper presents the practice of game localization with a dubbing process. It uses translation diaries for comparing versions and lines, along with bibliographic research about translation, localization, and dubbing, in an investigative methodology seeking to comprehend the conventions of those processes simultaneously. The localization document in evidence is the fan-made game The King of Street Fighters, which refers to a fighting game crossover and presents pixel art graphics. Through this, the translation and dubbing process with theoretical references provided a broad understanding of the procedures, also considering the graphic aspects. This way, the translation relates to meaning equivalence and dubbing minds to adequate time and actions of the character. Moreover, dubbing translation needs to be consonant with mouth movements and the full expression of the character at that moment. In addition, the localization process considered the target audience and cultural aspects, based on theories presented by O'hagan and Mangiron (2006), Pernas (2007), and Chiaro (2008).
