Abstract

Urban or contemporary legend, like traditional legend, is an exemplary oral history. It is an anonymous popular narrative, transmitted primarily orally, that has an implicit message and a hidden moral to which we adhere. In this article, we will present urban legend as a contemporary narrative genre based on the studies of French researchers Jean Bruno Renard and Véronique Campion-Vincent.
