Taken the sections “Cinema”, “Chronicas” and “Livros & Revistas,” written by Mário de Andrade for the magazine Klaxon: Mensário de Arte Moderna, we’ll discuss how his comments on the various aspects of the artwork out an ideal of a aesthetic project to renew the culture of the time, which would clarify, reflect and update art in its various manifestations. We examine the assumptions contained in the manifest opening of the magazine written by Mário de Andrade, his thoughts on music, film and literary criticism contained in the magazine in order to place them from a critical overview of activity in our literature.Downloads
