Rearticulando el concepto de dispositivo: combinando STS y government analytics

Este artículo aclara primero los diversos significados de la noción francesa de dispositivo y la contrasta con los usos de “appareil” por un lado y “reunión” (“agencement”) por el otro. La segunda parte presenta el uso distintivo de Foucault del concepto de dispositivo. El argumento se basa en la tesis de que la noción de dispositivo de Foucault está firmemente anclada en una analítica del gobierno, en la medida en que se centra en la dirección y regulación de las fuerzas de agencia y los procesos vitales. En la última parte, propongo combinar un análisis del gobierno, siguiendo a Foucault, con ideas de los Estudios de Ciencia y Tecnología (STS). Argumento que esta síntesis teórica entre CTS y una analítica del gobierno ayuda a corregir los problemas de muchos análisis de la sociología política y la teoría social y política frente a las transformaciones y cambios en las sociedades contemporáneas.Métricas
