In this article we intend to analyze how the question of identity appears in the work Mémoires de porc-épic, by Congolese writer Alain Mabanckou. For that, we start from a contextualization of the second generation post-colonial French-speaking authors to then examine the main characteristics of Mabanckou. Finally, we analyze the work in question paying attention to the narrative and the stylistic traits that contribute to the discussion of identity in the post-colonial African context.
