Philadelpho Menezes: an experimental voice within of the literary polisystem

This article aims to present the research work and production of sound poetry developed by Menezes, in the early 1990. After the presentation of some concepts of oral poetry, voicing and sound poetry, discussed the poetic production Menezes, included in the two produced CDs and arranged for him, and their positions on the subject, present in several articles, mainly in Poesia Sonora: Poéticas Experimentais da Voz (1992). We also discuss the concept of canonicity developed by Even-Zohar and as the sound poetry is configured within that concept, from the various frictions undergoing with some segments of canonical literary polysystem, including verbal and visual poetry.References
