Reminiscences of a play: the wheel cantigas as works and leisure corners

Abstract

This article presents reflections of a research that aims to analyze the reminiscences of the art of singing verses by a group of people from the rural community of Monte Alegre, Rio Real, Bahia. Although they have visibility and appear to have disappeared from daily practice, the songs remain in the memory. Interesting research directions of this activity for the community in the past and the transformation of sense to the same social group nowadays. We seek, therefore, investigate the reason for the permanence of these songs in memory of the oldest inhabitants of this community. Thus, we intend to examine ways of producing these cultural texts (songs and narratives ) to understand your updates and directions. Considered by villagers as a joke, the nursery rhymes mark an era and social situation of that locality because, according to reports, was a constant practice in June festivals.
