"Cadernos negros" in literary crossroads: quilombizing knowledge in historical-educational crossings

Cadernos Negros reshaped the Brazilian literary scene by problematizing ethnoracial discussions through the lyrical-poetic perspectives of Black authors. To foster reflection on the relevance of these writings beyond the literary field, this article establishes an interface with education, considering the knowledge produced as an affirmation of Blackness within the anthology’s repertoire. In this sense, literary, historical, and educational contexts are highlighted, with a temporal focus from 1978 to 1988, aiming to reveal the antiracist nature of the group’s short stories and poems. Through these strategies, it becomes possible to unveil discursive representations of identities, historicities, and racisms that permeate memories and antidiscriminatory struggles.
