Abstract

The article aims at recreating a critical itinerary concerning what one could call Estética do vestígio in the work of Walter Benjamin. By interweaving architecture (Le Corbusier, Scheerbart, Loos), history (Adorno, Giedion), and literature (Kafka, Brecht), it seeks to demonstrate the ideological transition from trace to transparence – seeks to entwine past and present, withdrawal and distraction, and thus discuss both the literary thing and the construction of identities in the contemporary world.
