This study aims to propose an act of interpretation of the poem “Autopsicografia”, by Fernando Pessoa based on studies of French discourse analysis observing the effects of meaning produced by the poem. Through the movement of description-interpretation we observed that the poem runs a fine line between sincerity and hypocrisy, between emotion and reason, showing the constitutive contradiction of the subject poet. Furthermore, there is an interdiscursive relationship between “Autopsicografia” and another poem of the same book, “Isto”, that apparently works like a response to the analyzed poem.Downloads
