Based on the analysis of some works of the Brazilian literay canon, the article aims to show how literature was used in different moments of brazilian history as part of depreciation and domination of Blacks, and how this situation begins to change from the rise of Black movements in the country when it starts a reconstruction of the image of african descent, which takes upon itself the task of making their own literature.Downloads
