Abstract

Using as a focus point the project "Coletivo Luísa Mahin - Sarau das Pretas", based in Londrina, this article aims to show how PROMIC (a municipal cultural program) enables performances around literature, learning and identity matters. That said, the following authors were used as analisis bias: Zumthor (2007) and Câmara (2017) (to comprehend the role of voice and performance) and the Even-Zohar's polysystem theory (2013), work in which he discusses literary polysystems and its peripheries. Transcribed interviews with the two cultural producers behind the project will be presented also. Taking into account Mariano's article (2019), in which one could presuppose an intersection between the Even Zohar's peripheral polysystems and afro-brazilian literature, was possible to conclude that PROMIC made actions viable (in multiple places and via written text or oral knowledge), giving more emphasis to black women and afro-brazilian narratives that were silenced by a racial and peripheral issue, contributing, finally, to a more balanced canon.
