With a minimum of literature: similarities between formal conventions from 1930s Realism and contemporary journalism

The aim of this article is to point out the use of literary conventions in some texts in newspapers from 1990 onwards. We show that some stories whose goal is to warn the read about topics of social interest dialogue with thematic and aesthetical conventions established in the 1930s’ literature. This study uses as an example a story published by Folha de S. Paulo.Downloads
