This study aims to analyze the character of the herald in Conceição Evaristo’s Ponciá Vicêncio. The novel has as one of its marks the psychological depth of the characters, and the narrator talks to us through the characters. The memories of their life experiences are transmitted orally and on that we may understand it as a mark of ethnicity, as it shades the traffic of information in the community to which Ponciá belongs.Downloads
