Abstract

This paper proposes to examine some narrative techniques in Ivan Ângelo’s novel A festa, published in 1976. Among them, the presence of the narrator-character or character-writer stands out emphasizing the experimental nature of the work besides the fragmentation of the text and the use of annotations inserted in the main material of the novel. Concern about the verisimilitude will also be dealt with because it sets itself as a goal of this literary period.
