Brief discussion on the collaboration between Literature and History, based on the novel Fronteira (1935), by Cornelio Penna. Such discussion is centered on three topics: the historical fact, as an element of the structure of the novel, allowing to situate the time in which the narrated story takes place; the novel rescuing the history of the mining town of Itabira, portraying the time of prosperity and decadence of those who explored the region's natural wealth; and the 1930s, a troubled political period in our country, which influenced the career of the writer in question, involved in political turmoil, thus suffering the consequences of this involvement.Downloads
