Social networks analysis and literacy: contribuition to the portuguese language teaching

This paper, part of a study in language studies, by mapping the speech of 24 teenagers come from a rural district of Londrina, Paraná, shows social networks analysis as an analytical metode appropriate to recognize the linguistic reality of the students, because this recognition is necessary for the development of teaching materials that respond to current needs. Under the bias of Sociolinguistica, especially its educational component, that carry the studies of literacy, discussions on the results certify the work with the Social Network Analysis (ARS) as an efficient answer to the search for ways to effective teaching of Portuguese language as mother tongue. It is the school’s responsibility to take into consideration factors such as the social interaction networks in which students, identity issues, and the level of literacy of the students’ out-of-school lives for the ideal learning.Downloads
