PNLD and human rights education: between the evaluation criteria and the reviews of the PNLD guide to history of the initial years - 2013

Abstract

In this article, we intend to analyze how the National Program of the Didactic Book (PNLD) - 2013. inserted the Human Rights Education (HRE) as criterion of evaluation of didactic collections of History for the initial years of Elementary School. Initially, we present how the PNLD, as public policy, instituted HRE as a criterion for evaluating collections. We also synthesize the different conceptions of HD that permeate the debates in this area, which supported the documentary analysis of the collections' reviews available in the PNLD History2013 Guide, noting how the HRE was considered in the evaluation process in the paragraphs that analyzed how the collection approached construction for citizenship and those in which the focus was the history and culture of Africa, Afrodescendants and indigenous peoples. The results found that the approved didactic collections inserted the EDH in a timid and superficial way to meet the requirements of the edict, predominating, in the approaches, the hegemonic conception of Human Rights.
