Television and pop music become, since the second half of the twentieth century, important matters in Brazilian cultural life. So it is useful to investigate how the literature of this time incorporates the languages of these cultural features. In Rubem Braga’s chronicles, the swinging movement between the media and a lyrical and poetic tone is intense. As results from this negotiation, rise out two chronicles focused on female figures with highlights in TV and pop music: Dina Sfat and Rita Lee. This essay aims to examine how the chronicler’s perspective in face of media helps to build an image of woman in contemporary Brazilian literature.Downloads
