<b>The relationship between theory and practice in didactic material evaluation in teacher's development</b>

This research aimed at discussing the use of different tools for the selection and evaluation of didactic materials for the teaching of a foreign language (FL). As more specific objectives, we intend to: a) produce the state-of-the-art on tools used for the selection and evaluation of didactic material; b) present the results of some research works developed; c) list the tools used according to the object of analysis in focus as well as illustrate an evaluation used by English teachers involved in PAI-S in Paraná.
