Abstract

This research aimed at discussing the use of different tools for the selection and evaluation of didactic materials for the teaching of a foreign language (FL). As more specific objectives, we intend to: a) produce the state-of-the-art on tools used for the selection and evaluation of didactic material; b) present the results of some research works developed; c) list the tools used according to the object of analysis in focus as well as illustrate an evaluation used by English teachers involved in PAI-S in Paraná.

Possui Especialização em Ensino de Línguas Estrangeiras - Universidade Estadual de Londrina. Atualmente é Coordenadora de Controle Acadêmico do Centro Universitário Filadélfia - UNIFIL.

Vera Lúcia Lopes Cristovão, Universidade Estadual de Londrina

Possui graduação em Serviço Social pela Universidade Estadual de Londrina (1988), mestrado em Linguística Aplicada ao Ensino de Línguas pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1996) e doutorado (2002) e pós doutorado (2008) em Linguística Aplicada e Estudos da Linguagem pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Atualmente é professora adjunta da Universidade Estadual de Londrina, membro do Programa de Pós Graduação em Estudos da Linguagem (PPGEL - UEL) e líder do grupo de pesquisa Linguagem e Educação (desde 2002). É parecerista da revista Linguagem em (Dis)curso, da Revista Brasileira de Linguística Aplicada e da Revista Linguagem e Ensino. Foi membro da comissão editorial da revista SIGNUM: Estudos da Linguagem (UEL) por 4 anos.
